Burpee is the Veranda Red breeder and according to their European catalogue, it's a hybrid. The disease resistances would suggest this too. It will be interesting to see what you get and if it's still blight resistant.

They've now withdrawn from the UK market so who knows what the availability of their seed will look like next year. They are the breeder and supplier of a lot of the newer blight resistant varieties so...  Cry

Thanks TMTT. I might have swapped a pup. Not grown again (I think) even if I did I've forgotten what they were like Smile

Maybe I won't grow all the ones that have germinated - just one as an experiment. They're the only ones with seed leaves at the moment.
