Pickled lettuce

I've just seen a comment on a local site saying he'd pickled his lettuce - has anyone pickled their lettuce before? I haven't got a jar big enough for my lettuces.  BTW the cosberg lettuces I've grown this year are very nice.

My feelings exactly. I'm not going to give it a go any time soon.

No don't fancy that.  Lettuce is for salad oh and we do bung a few handfuls into a stirfry.

I've braised whole  lettuce before in the oven but don't often have too many lettuces to use up (I forget to successional sow) like you and most everyone else they're for salad.

Was it a typo for "picked"??

I read about BBQ's lettuce the other day - Riverford, I think.

No not a typo, the chappie says it's nice made with garlic, chilli and dill.  I've  asked him to post the recipe.  He says he cuts his lettuce up before pickling.
