I rarely buy tomatoes in the winter due to lack of taste.  However, I really wanted some to go with my ham sandwich so went for  some organic ones thinking they might be better but honestly hardly tasted of anything.  Think I'll just wait for our own ones.

I've ended up abandoning tomatoes from the shops. I rely solely on the ones I grow for fresh eating in summer and autumn, then freeze any gluts to use up in cooking over winter and spring. Same with french beans and runners.
