I am not really bothered what I get, the joy on other people's faces is enough for me Smile

P and I don't bother with presents, we get what we want throughout the year and we have all we need. His birthday is the week after Christmas and he's instructed me not to buy him anything. I'm happy that our lad's happy and thriving. If I could wish for anything it would be a cat, but P's not keen. He wants his computer to work properly but that problem's been ongoing for a week now and I can't help there, it's a work in progress.

We are spending Chrismas with the boys and my mum so there will be some bits each way, myself I'd love compost or manureSmile

We don't bother with presents either, it just seems pointless there's nothing I want that I wouldn't buy myself.
When our kids then later our grandkids were small we used wrap socks or jumper we'd previously bought or even worn pretending they were gifts. It was easier than trying to explain we didn't do gifts.

As I didn't want or need anything I got exactly that, with the odd box of choccies thrown in as a surprise. Of course there might be some retrospective presents to myself come the start of the growing season.

I got socks with cats on! And in my secret santa present from my friends I got a sunflower kit, a tin cup for the garden and lots of other garden related things - bonus! And another friend of mine got me loads of seeds, most remarkably a whole load of red sunflower seeds that she's saved!

I got some new root trainers which I'm very pleased with as I had to juggle my bean and pea seedlings last year.

I also got some videogame gifts.

I got some trainers as well, but they were for my feet! Big Grin
