Quaking grass Briza Maxima

My non gardening pal's DiL has just moved into a house with a huge garden. They are not gardeners, unless you count hoovering AstroTurf gardening Smile, but DiL has expressed interest in quaking grass. Pal and I are on a mission to either buy a plant or some seeds for DiL today.  I know nothing about quaking grass, is it invasive?

You mean the Weevil grass. Big Grin I may have sent you seeds in the past. It does spread, I've always pulling up tufts in the wrong place. Scarlet likes it for flower arranging.

Thanks Veggie, I don't think I've got any seeds but I will have a rummage. Pal wasn't too impressed with quaking grass either, she said it looks like slugs, not like any slugs I've ever found but to each their own.

I've just picked some seed heads if you want them? They're almost at the drying stage.

Just been to post the seeds.
The postie was standing at the back of his van, sorting his next delivery, so I stood behind him saying "Excuse me, excuse me" in my usual ladylike way, to ask if he'd emptied the postbox.
He literally jumped when he turned around as he hadn't heard me as he was listening to something on earphone thingies.
Even though he'd emptied the postbox he couldn't resist accepting an envelope of weevil seeds and I watched it being put in the back of the van.

A very secure delivery, thankyou Veggie and Mr. Postie. The icing on the cake would be if Frank is on holiday.
