Offers that are so overpriced, they can't be true!!

For example, Sarah Raven is asking £5.95 for 5 onion seedlings. Even if they grow into whopping great onions, they can't be worth £1.20 each - and that assumes they all grow.

Wow that’s some expensive onions ! To be fair I think you need to take out a mortgage to buy anything from Sarah Raven.
It’ll be interesting to see what other expensive deals everyone can find.

May be she knows inflation is set to accelerate.

but you could get 4.5g of seeds for 99p which, even if they don't grow so big will get you a lot of onions:

Marshalls Special offer on "Garden ready vegetable plants for less than 75p per plant".

Would anyone in their right minds pay £8.99 for 12 beetroot seedlings?........or 12 Spring onions or lettuce. Worse still, 12 Carrots. How will they grow?
Even the most expensive shops would have difficulty selling a single beetroot for 75p!

Another overpriced "offer" from Suttons.
One Daubenton kale plant in a 9cm pot for £12.99 plus £6.99 P&P https://www.suttons.co.uk/vegetable-frui...en_mh11754

Read the offer carefully..............

Not garden related but Morries are running a "special" offer on vacuum sealed Pyrex dishes. For every £10 you spend in store you're given a "More Card stamp". , You need 30 stamps to receive a free item (which means spending £300). You also need to "buy" a vacuum sealer pump, which is Free if you have 30 stamps (that's another £300 spent). At the rate I spend, it would take me about 2 years to spend £600 and the offer expires in June!!

I'm going to save at least £600 as I don't have a Morries nearby.
