How easy is it to grow clematis from seed ?
They are one of the items I currently have in my shopping basket. But I don’t want to get them if they’re a nightmare to germinate. I’m definitely getting everything else in my basket  Big Grin .

A quick Duckduck came up with https://www.gardenmyths.com/growing-clematis-from-seed/
Sounds like they're slow to germinate but some types of Clematis are easier than others.

I wouldn't bother. I've tried lots and just got one or too. I know you don't live bear super markets etc.... but Asda do them for pennies

Thank you ladies. I’ll remove them from my shopping basket.

I'm currently trying several kinds, but it's in the compost that hasn't worked out well, so I will sow more, in decent compost. I'll report back Smile

Another question. When is the best time to move a clematis?
I'm guessing Autumn/winter
