Today I shifted all the greenhouse glass from the car to the back garden, then went to pick up the frame and got that all stacked up in the alley alongside the house. I'm so chuffed Smile

I was looking at last years spreadsheet and noticed that I sowed a few things mid Feb. so I tidied up the conservatory, took the chitting potatoes out to a shed and brought in the propagator. Sweet peppers and aubergines first, soon to be followed by tomatoes.

I've hardly left the house - its drier indoors. Smile
There's a local Seed Swap in 2 weeks so I've been sorting out unwanted seeds to take - and swap - for, hopefully, wanted ones.

Nothing garden related for me, apart from ordering some seeds. Morning was not too bad but been lashing since 13.00.

My trips to the plots have been few and far between in 22, don't seem to have the normal inclination towards gardening at the moment. I have always loved a challenge, so may have to find plot number 4!

I've made note of a local auction that is happening mid March in a nearby village. I've prepped Jay so he knows we're going lol

I got myself absolutely filthy today, picking up the greenhouse frame, and then putting it in our alleyway. What a puzzle that will be to put together! I had to have a shower to warm myself up after that, and then we went off to help Jay's son to take apart wardrobes so he can move them to the new house. Then bought some chips on the way home and only just settled down after tea. Having so much to do has made the weekend feel so much longer than normal - love it Smile

Good afternoon have been busy sawing up some birch branches that have been sitting since 2019 when I cut down the tree to make room for my hut, so now have a good stock of wood for my fire.

Down here birch has to be burnt within 2 years otherwise it turns to mush Sad . We now have a magnificent wildlife pile of unusable wood; MrPP was not impressed given the time and chainsaw fuel to fell and log it. But the bugs and beasts will be happy, and just think of the the eventual compost!!  Big Grin

Today I mulched the rose bed with starting to break down chippings and then started clearing what will be the leek plot. I'll sow phacelia when it's clear, hopefully by the end of tomorrow.

Took another 18 chrysanthemum cuttings today and put them in one of those long windowsill propagators. Put them on a South facing bedroom windowsill. I don't use rooting hormone as they seem to root fine without it? I already have six cuttings I took earlier, set in a 5 inch pot with a plastic freezer bag over it. Rolleyes They appear to be establishing fine up til now! Cool

The only colour I haven't got to take cuttings from is a red one so I have ordered five reds from Woolmans when they had a free delivery weekend on! Big Grin
