The Veranda Red tomato seeds sown on Thursday have germinated so let's see who gets the first ripe tomato!

I wasn't planning on joining in, but I had a little bit of space in the propagator so thought I'd have a go.

You're on Garrett, although I find the problem comes later when the toms are too big for the propagator or the windowsill and the gh is like Siberia. I think I've got some veranda red about 3" tall needing transplanting but my hopes are with Red Robin that can stay on the windowsill all its life if necessary, which I suppose is cheating a bit.

Naw, got my fingers burned drastically last year with early sowings. Cry Promised then, NEVER AGAIN! Tongue I have some tomatoes drying and some peppers drying for seed. Might try some early peppers as they require a long season and don't get so leggy. Rolleyes Good luck all. Smile
