He said 7ft, I would economise on materials and make it about 4ft, he would fold up, but it might need to be wider. At least I hope he would fold, he doesn't fold too well at the moment. Big Grin

YOu could dig the hole 6' deep but about 2' square and drop him in feet or head first. Smile

P suggests not that practical, we have a layer of flint about 3ft down. We know from previous experience digging the pond. I was nearly the one in the hole when he caught my bum with the upswing of a pickaxe. I've never let him forget this of course. Smile

Could combine it with excavation for a ground source heat pump, don't they dig big vertical holes for them?
