Evening All
Those of you who have known me for a long time will know that I bought a 3 acre wood in West Wales, back in 2012. I haven't been to see it for a couple of years and last I heard there was a tree down blocking the gate into the wood.
This morning, there was a news item about people wanting to buy woodland https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-58804595 so I decided to sell mine!
I rang the company I bought it from for advice and they said they would buy it back, sight unseen, for the price I paid for it or would act as agents on commission to sell it when I should get a higher price for it. I thought about it for about 2 minutes, decided that it would be too difficult to sell with the fallen tree and goodness knows what other damage within the wood, so agreed to sell it back to the company.
Tomorrow, I'll find a solicitor to handle the paperwork and, hopefully, it will have been sold in a couple of weeks.
I'll be sad when it goes, but its better that it goes to somebody who can actively own it, than I hang on to it and worry about ash dieback or squatters.
When I woke up this morning, the last thing on my mind was selling the wood - funny how things happen when you don't expect it.

I could fancy a wood. I remember you mentioning it in the past, but always assumed it was joined to your house! If I had a wood I would sell the house and move onto it with my camper! It could be my private movable 'Tiny Home'!  Kato would love it too and if it was fenced he could explore it at his leisure. He has never been off a long lead as at the first chance he gets, he bolts, ne'er t be seen again!
