Morning Folks
Does anyone know what is wrong with these leaves?
Background Info - The tree is in a 50-60 litre container in my backyard, it's certainly had enough water these last few weeks! It was purchased last year in a patio set, other trees include cherry, apple, pear, and nectarine, none of which are showing similar issues.
TIA.....
Regards..........Danny

Are you sure that's the pear and not the nectarine?

It looks like Peach Leaf Curl - I've no idea about Pears. Open a leaf and see what's inside it!

The red blisters could suggest fire blight

I've just checked my Conference pear. Its the only one of my fruit trees that has flowered. Although in general it looks a lot healthier that yours the very tip leave was curled so I nipped one off. It was full of what looked to be green fly aphids although they could be summat that only attacks pears?
Sorry can't be more helpful!

Hopefully it is a mite. a book I have mentions it as the Pear leaf blister mite but that it isn't a serious pest recommending removing badly affected leaves. The shoot look healthy enough so likely not fireblight.
Edit: I noticed some ants on a pear tree so had a closer look for the aphids they were likely going to farm. Squished all I could see.

I have a Conference pear, it gets the blister mite really badly. Doesn't affect the crop, though. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow after golf.
