Sieved old compost, filled a pot with it. Planted 2 Chadwick Cherry tomatoes into pots. Watered GHs. Weeded and filled the garden waste bins = for collection tomorrow. Then I can start again! Happiness is an empty waste bin.

After shopping, potted on courgetts and cucumbers, took a risk and relocated some toms from heated to unheated gh. Replaced a Hirza tenderstem broccoli, planted yesterday, that was chopped at the base by something, maybe a mouse so set a trap.

P, the numpty, fell up a step and hurt his knee/leg and bled profusely from his hand (summat to do with the blood thinners I expect). He's OK, feeling very achey and refusing to take a painkiller. We are going to have words. He has to keep going today as he's refurbing a dual waterbutt station and we're due rain tomorrow, it has to be all back in place before the rain comes, I'm not wasting free water, achey leg or no achey leg!

You're heartless^^. Hope P feels better today - because I hate to think of the nagging he'll have to put up with, otherwise.

P says thank you, he appreciates that someone understands the trials he has to suffer.

He also says if it had been a wooden step he'd be fine, as it was, it was a cast concrete knobbly, stoney one. Personally, I think he's just looking for sympathy

He has my sympathy, the other year I tripped in my crocs and fell over the kitchen step, carpet burns on both knees.

Today I’ve potted on cucs and toms. Then moved the lettuce buckets out of the cloche onto an empty bed.

Don't they say that falling up steps is lucky?
Perhaps because you're less likely to hurt yourself than falling down steps??
