Planted some DFB seedlings in a tub in GH2. Also 2 Sure Thing courgettes in another tub.
Cut the tops off more raspberries (they're everywhere but I don't mind, its good for foraging!) Also cut down some brambles - they're everywhere too - those I do mind!!

I had a nice surprise when I was potting up my tomato and aubergine seedlings. A pot I had labelled aubergine long purple were actually sweet peppers. I had bought some more pepper seeds as I thought none had germinated. So I potted up 40 tomatoes (I want about 24) , about 10 aubergines and 6 peppers. I then planted out 90 onion seedlings between showers. I'll probably plant another 60 tomorrow and hopefully some first early potatoes.

Planted out the shallots.
Potted on blackcurrant sage cuttings I'd left to root in water.
Thinned out the nicotiana and rudbeckia seedlings.

Started building a feeder for the block fat ball things and another one for wool & dog hair for nesting materials. Unfortunately rain stopped play.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Planted some chitted Bijou mangetout - some in tubs and some in the ground in the old chicken run.
Emptied a couple of jars of old seeds - beetroot and carrots in odd corners around the garden.
Pulled up lots of vinca that had invaded the old chicken run.

I tried to fix my old Honda IZY lawnmower without success. Now I have to decide whether to speculate on a new mower (maybe a battery powered one, or mabe not) I need the self drive one as my lawn is on a steep hill....................or, as the Honda's are a good make which has served me well for the last 15 years, I can keep going and eventually repair the damm thing? Huh I will need to remove carburettor and clean jets and possibly replace the wax thermostat that deploys the auto choke, but it's al just time and very little outlay for parts!

Join the club Vinny, best of luck. At least you sound like you know what you're doing,  I didn't.  P says Honda carbs are easier to work on the the Lawnflite B&S.

Planted out my early potatoes: rocket, vivaldi, swift, premiere and one other that boiled well not sure if it is vivaldi or vitabella. Then finished off planting out the onion seedlings. Going for a shower now as we are off to see a play at the amateur theatre in Nantwich later.
