I'm a Crossbreed as well Veggie

Is there any option other than crossbreed. I was aiming for spaniel preempting some of the questions but ended up cross.

Talking of wolves (or not) do you know how to tell a wolf from a dog if you were lost in the backwoods at night?

A children's book I read as a nipper said that a dog laps up water but a wolf curls its tongue into a "tube" and sucks up water. I've often wondered if its true.
