'Oh wee sleekit cowering beastie' (Think that's the way it goes?)
How many are partaking of the 'Haggis, neeps & tatties' Huh

I've got mine ready to cook up, but I did struggle with only a skemmy small swede in the shop as everyone must have had the same idea?

Looking forward to it later! Cool

Not me! Horrible stuff.
Its St Dwynwen's Day in Wales, our version of St Valentine's day - not that I'll be celebrating that either but I may eat some chocolate and imagine. Big Grin

A new doctor is being shown around a Scottish hospital

As they enter one ward, the nearest patient turns to him and says "Fair fa' your honest sonsie face, great chieftain o' the pudden race!"

Before the doctor can react, the patient in the next bed adds "Wee sleekit cowerin' timorous beastie! O what a panic's in thy breastie!"

And not to be outdone, the third patient responds "Some ha' meat and cannae eat, and some wad eat that want it!"

The doctor murmurs to the orderly "So this is the mental health ward?"

"Och no!" replies the orderly.

"...it's the Burns Unit!"

(And happy Haggis Day to us all)

Love it Veggie, Big Grin I was once given a Rabbie Burns poetry book for a birthday present and read it from cover to cover. I'm not sure I understood it all but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it anyway! Cool

Yes, I know - still horrible.

Our neighbours , Bill & Joyce, were Scots and every year we'd celebrate Burns night with them. He'd wear his kilt etc and she'd wear her matching tartan scarf thing. Bill would read Burns poetry and we were supposed to write a poem and read that to them!
Joyce was a veggie too, and she had a veggie haggis delivered from Scotland on the back of a motorbike - or so she said!

They moved back to Edinburgh a few years ago so no more Bunrs nights for me!

PS This was my poem what I writ Big Grin

There's a beetle on the ceiling.
He's eating bread and jam.
I don't know why he does it,
I'd rather cheese and ham. Big Grin

(Eat your heart out Rabbie!!)
