Just added up my till receipts for Nov & Dec.
Nov £1.88 + £12.85 (Morries) £5.00 (Food Pantry) = £19.73
Dec  £7.00 (Morries), £13.00 (Lidl) £2.30 (Aldi) £3.30 (TGTW) £5.00 (Food Pantry) = £30.60

So, overall, I do spend less than £1 a day on food for myself (not including dog food or anyone else, household stuff like cleaning stuff/toilet rolls - just my food).

Not sure that I can rely on myself to keep this going for a whole year, but I'll see how far I get with it.

First spend on food at Lidl.
Tofu x 3, butter & yogurt, & lots of 50p Stollen. Total £9.27. Still within my £1 a day target.

Just added up my January till receipts - (Morries, Lids'n'Alds). Total food spend was £48.04 but this includes £15 buying Morries Festive vegetarian meals which were being cleared at £1.50 (so I bought £15 worth!) and £3.50 at Lids on their Xmas stollens and fruit cakes. I regard these bargains as "investments" for the coming months!
This means I spent £29.54 + £18.50 on investments!!
January was a £31 month so I overspent by £17.04. I'll be cutting back in February. Big Grin
