I had to Google that for myself, as I'm clueless about where places are in Scotland........but I'm learning!

Early Monday morning Bob left on his journey to Preston to collect the sound proofing insulation. He got home on the first ferry Tuesday morning. We unloaded it into the porch.

. 37 bales do fit in there. Just.
Today our first 2 wall have sound proofing

Soundproofing? I can see it will also afford insulation, but are you anticipating wild parties and annoying the neighbours, or is it to drown out the sound of the sheep?

It maybe between rooms to drown out the sounds of snoring from the rest of the house!

As ever Veggie has pretty much hit the nail on the head. .
The house has to have sound proofing to stop noise carrying from room to room. Also in the ceiling to stop noise carrying.
As with all Elements of building these rules and regs. In this case it’s a minimum amount of sound proofing you have to put into your building. We have tripled ours. That’s me assuming the numbers equate equally as they do in numerical terms. Big assumption on my part!
