Sown 3 Vermont cranberry DFB. They had already started sprouting when I shelled all my beans. So I had to give them a chance.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Sowed "Cut and come again" salad leaves, Oriental salad mix, Broccoleto, in 3 containers in GH2, Sowed Fordhook Giant Swiss chard in a tub outdoors. All old seeds. They have 3 weeks to show signs of life. If extinct, I'll resow with fresher seeds.

Stanley DFB, pea Snak Hero & Early Nantes have popped, I'm still waiting on Amsterdam. I sowed a row of Oregon Sugar Pod in the patch, more in hope than anything else.

Having seen on one seed supplier that they say aubrietia can be sown in September, I sowed a few seeds of Cascade red, just to see what happened.

I grew dwarf boad beans The Sutton this year but didn't harvest them. As the plants browned I just lifted them, beans and all and chucked them to one side! Blush You have just reminded me they are there and if the beans in the pods are ok, I have just the place to plant them next time I am at the plot! Cool

Its Leaves week.Big Grin I've sown mixed lettuce, rocket & Texel greens in the GH and scattered about 6 packets of old Wild Rocket seeds on the Veg Plot. (VP6).
Last year I sowed some Chinese leaves in VP5 and they all bolted before I did anything useful with them. I pulled them up and shook the seed heads out on the soil. They've grown back and are very healthy. With this in mind, I'm thinking about turning this area into a random Cut and Come again space. Just emptying old seeds and hoping for the best Wink.
There are already self seeded leeks, Red Russian kale and landcress - as well as lots of wild strawberries. Also a cluster of "spring onions" that I grow from supermarket bunches - I'll leave these to self seed.
I think I'll have more success by letting plants do their own thing, than by trying to coax them into growing in neat rows! It just isn't my nature. Wink
