Bubby 'ell!!, as my lad used to say when he was little (I wonder who he learnt those words off). Smile
I believe it was you that told someone that you let them grow - I had no idea you meant that big. My tromba are a pale immitation. Your tromba are bigger than the support for mine. I think you've just wiped out the competition. Well done.

By the way without this forum and the competition I wouldn't have bothered growing them. I really like them and they will be a staple from now on.

If your photos don't make Mikey want to grow them, nothing will.
They are magnificent, SC. I am unreasonably envious - probably because mine have failed miserably.

I’ve never managed to grow a monster of a tromboncino before. To get 3 off one plant is quite frankly unbelievable. I put it down to growing it in the tunnel with proper support for the first time. I’ll be doing that again.
The question is which one goes on the harvest festival table?  Big Grin

We’ve eaten Odin already. Picked him on the 27th July. Been keeping him a secret because I know the other 2 were going to be big as well. It was perfectly edible. Skin was a bit tough but it peeled easily enough. Was very impressed with how well it kept even though it kept getting it end chopped off    Smile .

I feel for poor Odin. My tromba are far more bulbous at the end, looking similar to an elongated butternut squash, yours are more usable. Maybe it's because they were dangling rather than hitting the ground. Where did you get your seeds? Mine came from Premier Seeds.

Got my seeds from chiltern seeds. I’ll be getting them from there again.
