2025 - Today's Recipe

It will be some form of a meal made with mince (which is ON date today) and eggs. I did see a recipe (if you can all it that?) on a carnivore website which I may give a try. The only variation from norm, is that I cook six eggs in butter & a pound of mince seperately then add them together when cooked whearas I usually bung three eggs in the frying pan when the mince is nearly ready, and cook together?

It sounds nice enough, Vinny, but I would really miss my veg and carbs.

I enjoyed it and Kato enjoyed his, although he did manage to pick the bits of egg out of it and leave it on the carpet!

Chicken & veg curry with rice

B. Stewed gooseberries, redcurrants raspberries and apple, with granola
L. Cheese bread with marmite and tomatoes
D. Leftover Quorn sausages, new potatoes, tomato and chutney

Mostly FREE

Last night I had savaloy sausages with stuffing, gravy and some of my allotment grown broad beans instead of the traditional pease pudding!

Today I am going fishing so hopefully a big fat trout will be on the menu?

We had planned on tortellini Minestrone soup this evening so instead we're having that at 12-ish then instead evening courgette and mushroom frittata with salad.

Steak pie & chips

B. Bread & marmalade
L. Blue cheese mayo, lettuce, cucumber, tomato.
D. Cheese bread, spread with pesto and topped with sliced tomato & cheese - grilled. Pseudo pizza!!

I had steak and eggs when I got back from fishing yesterday as I couldn't be arsed to prepare the trout! Trout fillets fried in butter on the menu for today.
