A lot of one step forward and two back today. I’m sure we achieved something, just not sure what. I know I’m knackered.

If treated correctly it doesn't necessarily need empting. But it can be. I think we probably will annually. Just to keep things in good order.

The effluent might be good for the garden or compost heap but I expect there a so many rules and regs that say you can't,

After using a composting toilet for nearly 12 months! We really don’t need any of the contents of the treatment plant. I have 4 daleks full. And it will stay in them for another couple of years before it get used in the garden anywhere.

Feel like something resembling a little progress happened today.
We have our first bit of surface water pipe connected up and in place. Which involved laying a bed of pea gravel for the pipes to sit on.

And work out levels and which bit of pipe and weird angles go where, and where the hell is the odd shaped connector supposed to go !       .

More of the same tomorrow after work.

Luckily after work yesterday I wasn’t really needed. Bob had a friend helping. A bit more pipe was put together, laid on a bed of pea gravel, and covered over with more pea gravel.
Today we’ve been mixing more concrete. Started surrounding the pipe in concrete. Luckily it’s just the ones at the front of the house near the front door and front of the porch.

Mixing concrete isn’t much fun in the rain.

Today’s episode of pipe laying.

All the pipe work around the porch is done

This is our friend burying the above pipes ( He’s much better on the digger than Bob. But then he does it for a living.)After they’d been surrounded by pea gravel.      .

Skew is loving this part of the build. His two favourite things water and digging. He’ll spend ages just staring at the water flowing past him in a ditch. He’s really quite mad.

Do you think Bob could lay a pipe down to Salisbury, we'll have some of your water. Skew looks like one of those bears waiting for a salmon to appear so he can hook it out of the river.
