Work this morning. Re sown seeds because of mice. Re planted kale because of the pheasant. Planted out DFB in the polytunnel bed. Surrounded by copper pipe and egg shells and covered with net tunnel as a very flimsy mouse Deterrent.

Planted my new rose in the ground, dug up some weeds from the edge of the border, rescued some little hosta sprouts from the border, and put our new azalea in a pot. Sowed ten types of beans with two capable assistants.

Planted out broccoli - Apollo, Skytree, Calabrini. Found my sowing of kale failed, sowed some more. Covered plantings with plastic cloche as they're fost tender and against pigeons. Covered various modules of stuff outside with fleece against blackbirds pecking at the soil. Pricked out tagetes. Resowed Beth Alpha, the first lot failed and I've lost the second lot, if in fact it ever got sown. Continued helping P lay weed membrane under stones around compost bins. Rescued lemon balm with a view to putting it in a pot, without much hope it will survive. No great loss though as there are several babies sprouting up elsewhere. Dug out bluebells.

Walked aound Nenthead Lead mines with Kato where I had spent the night in Motorhome. Spotted a few small trout in a burn then came across a holding reservoir for the mine. If I had had my trout rod with me I woud have loved to see if there were trout in it?
Moved motorhome some miles away to a cafe car park at the bottom of a Roman Fort. Walked Roman Fort with Kato. It was at the top of what felt like a mountain and the view from the top was stupendous.
Paid a fiver to spend the night wheren I am parked and look forward to a breakfast at the cafe in the morning then setting off for home at noon with an evening full of boxing, abs smasher and body shock weight training to look forward to,......not!

Dug up more cow parsley, wood avens and buttercups. Put the roots and flowers in the garden waste bin and chopped and dropped the leaves.
Split some sedum by accident so planted the severed bit in a new location.
Planted some Beth Alpha cucumbers in pot in GH1.
Sowed 6 different squash/courgettes from a mixed packet. You can never have too many courgettes.

Sowed two types of sweetcorn. Watered seedlings and plants in containers ahead of the stretch of warm, dry weather.
