Weeded the odd shaped bed. Mixed concrete, harvested stuff.

I saw six or seven wild boar running across the road on the way in to work this morning at 6.30am. I wasn't fast enough to get my phone out to even take a picture!

My whole crew went to the plot today. Planted out a few flowers and weeded. Mixed the strawberries although I remain unsure how many are actually wild strawberries. My husband dug out lots of brambles. Kids put.some wood chip on the paths.
Moved sprouted cucurbits out into cold frames and potted on my sad little tomatoes and put them out as well. Moved some sprouted dahlias out. Good luck, little guys.

First day for ages that hasn't been spent solely on getting the chicken coop ready.
I decided that all my growing stuff needs to move out of the office, and down to the barn, so with my trusty bike-trailer I shifted it all. I had to reorganise my potting shed/room in the barn so that the shelving unit could be used only for plants, and place it directly in the line of light from the window. Set up my grow lights too, with the help of an extension lead.
Painted the wall in the chicken coop to make it as light as possible.
Fixed the brackets and makeshift brackets for the egg hatches behind the nesting boxes.
Added brass knobs to open said hatches.
Tomorrow we are buying chickens!

Potted on some tomatoes, peppers and french marigolds. Picked up some bags of compost from Aldi as I'd run out.

Shuffled big pots around in GH1, ready to plant up with tomatoes.
Weeded Bed 1 (the Shelter bed) ready for beans - which I intend to sow tomorrow.

Shuffled toms. Repotted a windowsill one. Pricked out more onions. Stirred the compost prior to P cutting the grass. He has to get the grass done as he has a hernia op next week and will be out of action for a number of weeks afterwards. I've got a bet on with myself as to whether he gives himself time to heal or pushes the boundaries and starts doing things too early for his own good. Sowed some more oldish tromba seed as the others failed, same with Beth Alpha. Sowed chard and beetroot.
