The best way to do this is take what you need for the paths out first then the just make the rest do. You could always supplement it with some of your own gravel, if you have some, at the bottom.

Yeah, that’s not going to work. Being really generous towards the ditches with my estimations . I’d need 8 of those bags for my paths.

Just in case you couldn’t judge how big the hole was in yesterday’s photos.

Bob venturing into it for the first time.
We now have a concrete pad in the bottom of the big hole . That’s what we’ve been up to this morning.
Luckily finished just before the rain started.

Luckily finished just before the rain started. At first I though it was just a soakaway but with a concrete pad in the bottom I am guessing it wil eventually be a silt trap?

So the day started with pumping out the big hole and the ditches. Under the supervision of water obsessed skew.
Then our delivery of 18 tonnes of gravel arrived

A lot earlier than expected.
Then we put our treatment plant in the big hole

. Then we re took all the levels. Oops that’s not right. It still wasn’t right after the next 3 attempts. The treatment plant came out of the hole.
All the concrete we laid on Friday had to go

. Also dig down a little deeper
This has been my view for some of today

.
Hole now had it levels taken many many times and the replacement concrete mixed, poured and levelled . Luckily not nearly as much needed. We will try that again tomorrow!

I feel exhausted just reading all that you've done today. Good luck for tomorrow.
