Stocked up on chicken manure pellets and blood, fish & bone when I spotted them at Aldi today.

Got 4 packets of dwarf nasturtiums at Lidl the other day.

Got some more seeds from Lidl:

Dwarf Zinnia hybrids - I grew these two years and saved some seeds, but my home saved seeds didn't give great results so I've bought some. Love these.

Dwarf yellow french beans - still searching for the "perfect" yellow bean.

Uchiki Kuri squash - I've failed with Potimarron two years in a row so I'm trying these instead as everyone raves about them.

More shrubs aquired from Morries on there '3 for 2' basis! (£3.00 each so actually works out at £2.00 each) Cool

Euonymus Emerald n gold. .......A very 'golden' variety with much more yellowy gold on leaves than some other Euonymus I have seen.(1.2m)

Ceanothus Concha..........Large blue flowered shrub (3m when established)

Ceanothus Repens.......More of a lilac coloued flower (looks a bit like lilac!) than above and only grows to 1.5m.

Now all I have got to work out is where to plant them along with the other three herbacious perennials I have aquired?

I took advantage of DT Brown's free p&p and cheapie seeds and 3 for 2 offer , ordered a pkt dfb, 2 pkts carrots and a pkt of courgettes plus a freebie tomato, moneymaker. OK it's not a tomato I need but I might grow them one day. All for £2.97. Now, that's a bargain!

Today I picked up 2 very large pots 1 glazed , 1 terracotta. 1 medium sized terracotta pot. 3 lavender, 1 clematis, 2 aquilegia, mint, thyme , sage & oregano, campanula , a bundle of 10 new canes, 2 new posh potato grow bags ( ones with the little door in the side). 2 packets of pacific purple asparagus crowns, 1 packet of connover’s colossal asparagus crowns (2 crowns in each pack) . 3 eryngium tubers, 1 agapanthus tuber, gladiolus callianthus bulbs, 1 bearded iris black midnight tuber, 5 convallaria tubers, 2 packets of 3 different dahlia tubers, 1 box of bee attracting flower seeds, 1 box of wild meadow flower seeds. And very oddly 2 sprouting jars, stands, tray and a spare lid. All for £40 . Just the seeds, bulbs, tubers and 2 of the plants would have come to £65.50 if I’d brought them new! I’m very doubtful that any of the seeds will germinate and I’ll be amazed if some of the tubes & bulbs are capable of growing. They’ve been abandoned outside in a bin bag since last September/October. But all the dahlias & asparagus are definitely hanging on to life so I’m very pleased with my collection. They’re all now sown/ scattered and or planted. So they have the best chance they’re going to.

Your job lot of bulbs sounds like the ones I had from the eyelash lady recently. Unfortunately, none of them grew. However, most of the tubs of unknown plants are full of life - pansies, arabis, cyclamen and more. I love pansies.
Hope your bargains thrive.
