You'd do better at B&M or Lidl etc. - probably bigger and better quality too.

I did the exact same thing and didn’t bother. Looking at Van Mewen and Suttons (the same family as T&M) even under normal conditions, i.e. not sale, their non seed delivery is £6.99.

I did buy some Suttgarter onion sets in Home Bargains for 99p

They would also be the tiniest plug plants you've ever seen! I swear their normal plugs aren't much bigger than the ones garden centres buy in from Holland to pot on.

Friend sent me 3 packs of chilli seeds. 2 aubergine, 3 chilli and a small clump of nigella seedlings.

Whilst shopping in Aldi today I came across these two boxes of 'Shake & Rake' wild flower mix and Buterfly & Bee mix. Not badly priced at £1.29 each either. In a couple of weeks I will rake and shake a steeply sloped border along the side of the house and see if I can brighten it up a bit? Smile

We brought an apple tree. It arrived yesterday. From a fruit tree grower in Skye. He put a thing on the local fb page saying he was coming over and would bring any tree with him. We got a Worcester pearmain after advice from him.

SC we have two 30year old Worcester pearmain trees they're the best tasting apple of them all. The fruit doesn't keep too well just a few weeks but we do make the most of them eating, pies, chutneys, jams, juicing, dehydrating then freeze as puree and slices.

Spent £3.79 on Seed Parade seeds, £2.79 of which is P&P. How can it cost that much for an envelope and 7 skinny packets of seed?

Three bags ( 3 x 60 litres) of peat free compost, something that is finally becoming a bit easier to find.

Delivery charges here usually start from 7.50€ even if it is just a few packets of seeds  Angry so I usually wait for free delivery offers or get together with friends to hit the threshhold for free delivery!

Although I intend to make my own compost, I gave in and bought a bag of compost from Aldi to start seeds off in, just in cast my mixture isn't quite correct. Most of the supermarket compost is the same price, about 10p per litre.

Where's the cheapest coir this year?
