Hestia Dwarf Runner bean

           

Very pretty, worth growing in a pot/hanging basket in the flower garden - but I won't grow them in the veg garden again as they take the space of a normal Runner and, so far, don't seem to be very productive. The Beans are normal size - not dwarf ones.

They are pretty. Look like salvia hot lips. I believe Neffa has grown them in the past.

I have some growing in the poly tunnel, they were late planting so it’s an experiment, never grew them before, never seen such bright coloured flowers on a veg plant before

Runner beans were introduced into the British Isles as an ornamental before being used for consuming
When I see Scarlets photo I would like space to grow like that
