Get well soon Vinny, manflu or not, it's still unpleasant.

Its Wormsday so I had a little chat with them and gave them some lettuce for good behaviour!.
Dead headed more roaming raspberries in Strip 2.
Weeded a little of VP 2 & 3.
Attacked the brambles in the ditch at the end of Strip 2.
Came back to the house and tweezered out the thorns from my fingers. I should have worn some thicker gloves!
Not a bad day for gardening. Big Grin

I sowed chilli, sweet pepper and aubergine seeds.
Think I’ve worked out my new garden plan. Lots of measuring, pegging out beds. Shuffling things around. About to put it down on paper now.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Other than organising my seeds a bit, and finding more sweet peas as a result, I've not really don't much gardening wise.

I have on the other hand applied for a lot of jobs, mostly retail, especially for jobs covering summer holidays, but hoping to be able to stand in, until then, if nothing else. I'm flexing my application skills and finding it fun to try to fit my skills and experience to all the jobs advertised lol

Is it a good time to dig up JA's now Bren? I didn't harvest any last year so reckon there my be quite a few below ground, that's if the slugs haven't annialated them?

Vinny I usually dig mine up from December  onwards finishing around end of Feb,  they seem to start sprouting again around March.  I must be rubbish  Confused  at digging them up because I've never put any back in the ground but there's always come back again.

Yeah, they say that once you've got them, you'll always have them! Rolleyes I do like to eat them and luckily I am not predisposed to the problem that gives them their common name of 'Fartichokes'! Big Grin I think mine are the old 'knobbly' variety but they seem to have bred this out of the newer variwties which are smoother and easier to peel, if you so wiah?

Today I walked Kato 'early doors' in the woods. I was alll right wearing trainers as the hard frost had hardened up the muddy areas! After that I went to my 'Grab a Granny' seated excercise routine at the local Village Hall. I went shopping after that, mainly for stuff for Kato who has lost his apetite and found a horses lately! Rolleyes
It was then back to shifting and stacking logs, which thankfully is now complete. Cool

Another walk for Kato now then I'll settle down, mek summat to eat and watch the semi final of the Carabou cup later to find out who the Toon face in the final?

Weeded VegPlot 4 and more of Strip2 including the ditch. Found the House Gnome there - he may have been trying to hide from me.
Sieved some Hotbin compost and mixed it in with old compost from last year's pots. I'm using this mixture for seed sowing and potting up.
Pulled/dug up more Vinca.
