Just shows how long ago since I braved looking there! So had to clear junk, remove bed (not easy as it's very tightly fitted between furniture) scrubbed walls with mould remover. Hoovered violently. P's going to repaint wall but last night there wasn't time, so had to put all back ready for removing again this morning.  It looks like the moths attacked a wool under blanket, now in the bin. And the bed/matress is looking a bit dodgy, but that might just be age.  I'm resiting getting a new divan, having looked at the prices and been gobsmaked. I am so out of date. I'm researching moth killer. Nothing organic about that!

Update:

Bed was mullahed by moths so had to go. I think its a myth they only eat organic stuff. P chopped it up and next door had the wood from the frame for their wood burner, that saved a trip to the dump. The mattress too was eaten and I wasn't sure whether it was harbouring eggs or grubs so that's been chopped in half with an angle grinder ready to take to the dump in the silver sub. Remedial work still ongoing. New bed and mattress coming on Tues.

Car failed it's MOT on tyres and no windscreen washers. Tyres were easy and how hard can it be to fix windscreen washers methinks? So I set to with car balanced on trolley jack, wheel off, rived muck stopper offf to get to water pump on washer bottle and fix filter on bottom after watching a you tube video.

Bad Ides, pump is knackered, needs new one, three days delivery for new and back in to garage in four days! Sodding cars, I hate them! Sick

Chopped down the autumn raspberries then gave them some fertiliser pellets and coffee ground mulch. Dug up the Titania blackcurrant and moved it to somewhere more accessible. Harvested a load of baby carrots from a late 2024 sowing, but unfortunately they look to have been quite badly hit by carrot root fly so they'll probably go in the compost.

I've done absolutely nothing gardening related today, other than putting together one of those awesome trolleys on wheels from that Swedish furniture store. That trolley is temporarily going to keep my bags of seeds in one place, since having them on the dining table means my cats are pushing them off and playing with them LOL

Tomorrow is going to be all about organising my seeds again and tidy up the dining area. Then I'm potting up my little seedlings that have come up so they can sit in the window and soak up what little light there is, along with my grow light. And tomorrow is also going to be about doing some paperwork regarding the move here. It's quite bureaucratic, but at least most of it is digital.

Me too.  Bed arriving today  but don't know what time.  Th contents of the junk room are strewn around our rather small bungalow. It looks like Steptoes (for those old enough to know who I mean) who'd of though so much stuff would come out of a small room.  Furniture has been moved to allow walkway for bed to be delivered but I've just figured I arranged doorstep delivery not to room delivery so P and I might be manoeuvring the bed ourselves.
