Join me with this years doing something new / different.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a weekly, monthly or annual event . But let us know if you do something for the first time. Or something you’ve not do for a very long time .
Let’s call it our conformation of our uniqueness. Rather than it’s just the cherry on top, of proving how bloody weird we all are

Toasted my first marshmallow.

Have you tried S'mores, digestive biscuits, chocolate and hot toasted marshmallow, sandwiched together, really good.

A first for us.
We’ve had our dinner at lunchtime instead of at 7-ish.
Our electric company has half price weekends between 11-4 do we’re making the most of it.

A first for me is having a house at 9 degrees and refusing to light woodburner or put heating on. I have layered up with clothes and am quite comfortable! I'm sure as a bairn we suffered worse temperatures than these, without central heating and just a coal fire when we could afford coal? I think we were healthier for it and it hardened us up a bit.
I will relent when it gets dark and have the woodburner set for lighting.I enjoy the focal point as much as the heat!

My something new is setting up my breadmaker!
Haven't used it for years. I bought bread flour last week and bought dried yeast about 6 months ago, when I thought of making bread again. Unfortunately, the recipe needs skimmed milk powder and that was best by June 2022!!
Worse than that - I started the machine and realised that I'd forgotten to add the yeast to the flour. I've just put it in now - but had to sprinkle it on the ball of dough!! If anything edible come out of the machine in a few hours time it will be a miracle.

It’s the same here Vinny we have dinner at 12-ish then tea in the evening around 7-ish, but on forums it’s easier to use the same wording as the majority.
