Not much to report in 2024 - a bad year on the courgette front.
Hoping for better things in 2025.

This thread covers years 2025 & 2024.

I'll try not to euthanize my courgette plants this year. Last year was acceptable in the end. I'm hoping to grow mildew resistant varieties this coming season. Although the intention is to grow fewer, I might not succeed when it comes to sowing. One for me, one for giveaway, one for spare, one to cover mortality. I'll end up with far more than I need and I'm incapable of binning a healthy viable baby plant. It's the same with tomatoes.

Mildew resistant courgettes Defender F1, Dundon F1, Ismalia F1, Diamante, Primula, Tuscany, Best of British. Not all of which I've sourced or intend to grow, it's a starting point for consideration. Some I've got seeds of and have grown without noticing a reduction In mildew though.

Cucumbers will be Delistar and Beth Alpha and maybe a new one Shintokiwa, anyone tried that one from Vital Seeds? I feel another six cucumbers a creeping up on me. Smile
