No, but with the barcodes it might not get franked. The stamp on the letter you sent to me had been franked.
Ooh, that's interesting. P reckons that the machines can't cope with boxes. Who knows. Anyway I'm keeping the box (and stamp) for further use.

Just opened my box of goodies. Wow how very cool. I’m going to need some instructions on some (most ) of the treasures. Fantastic selection thank you so much. No mixed peas , but with all the goodies I have got I really don’t mind at all.
Advice please Veggie

SC, you have some Taunton Deane perennial kale cuttings, as promised, a turmeric tuber and a leaf.
I know you said you'd never cook with raw turmeric again but that was before we found out that the leaves are edible. Thought you might like to add it to your tropical garden.
JJB, If you'd like some kale cuttings and the next turmeric that grows a shoot, let me know.
You both have a leaf from a Snail begonia. https://gardenandgossip.org/showthread.p...ht=begonia
Your/our challenge is to grow a plant from a leaf.

I’d probably give fresh turmeric another go if I’ve grown it. And definitely want to try the leaves Unfortunately the shoot had parted from the tuber but I’m going to plant them both and hope. Both parts still look very healthy.
I’m definitely up for a begonia growing challenge.
Just treat Taunton dean the same as any other kale I guess?
Got a busy day in the garden tomorrow. Excellent.

With the kale - I sometimes just bung them in water and wait for roots - or in a pot of compost.

I don't think I'd bother with turmeric or Taunton Dean TBH, but thanks for the offer. My begonia leaf recovered nicely in a jar of water, only to be cut up into bits, so the books say.
I'm a bit off line atm. I've had a fever all weekend and I'm getting well and truly fed up with it, as its not getting better. P clucking round like a mother hen but has a disapproving look if I choose to hit the paracetamol.. He reckons they only mask the problem, but if they make me feel better I'm all for them. Now I've got to stop him ringing the doc, because you know what the medics will say. Take two paracetamol. I just can't win.

I thought you were unwell as you've been quiet! Hope you feel better soon Jen. Dr Veggie prescribes a couple of paracetamol too, to be taken when P is not looking.
