I am on a strict medical diet regime, which in essence means no salt or sugar and very little fat.
I have learnt a few things about food I never knew:
Olive oil is bad for the heart if used to cook with, in addition, I thought virgin olive oil was the best for you.....only to find out its not
Butter is one of the major causes of heart disease
Walnuts and chestnuts are amongst the healthiest nuts for the heart.
Black beans are the healthiest legume, closely followed by butter beans.
Smoked fish (yellow dyed) is very unhealthy as fish goes, due to added sodium.
So bearing that in mind any healthy eating options greatly received.

I can’t really help with eating options. Other than if you’re going to eat red meat venison is very lean. I’ll be watching replies to this closely as Bob has recently been threatened by a doctor.

Ah well,you only live once.
Today I had Sirloin steak and scrambled eggs with cheese. 1/4lb butter was eaten with this to keep up my fat content as I eat zero carbs.
Nice to have you back Admin!

Last night was nachos with the leftover chilli from the previous night. Tonight still not sure. It’ll probably involve chicken

Yellow sticker Venison burgers with butter (as a deer doesn't have much fat on it). Also blitzed some cottage cheese and added cream and hot chocalate powder to make a high fat, high protein dessert for afters.
