2024 - How's your weather today?

I don't think any of us can complain when we look at what Florida is about to go through with Hurricane Milton  Looks miserable here but nothing compared to whats happening else where in the world.

I wonder if the Americans are going to start building with brick rather than wood to withstand the ferocity of the weather.

Agreed, Vinny. It looks horrific. Hope it weakens before it touches land and that there's no loss of life.

Just imagine if we were in that situation,  being told that if you stay put you might die.  I'd be hard put where to go and to have to decide what to take must be a nightmare. Any place I could go would be in the storm region.  Hey! I know we could all invade SC. 

Raining all day.

Torrential rain this morning, grubby all day yesterday.

Same here. I thought the windows were misted up but its foggy outside. Heavy downpours too.

Because of the horizontal rain caued by the wind, and Kato's walks,I am on my third change of clothes today and still need to go out soon for an abs workout at the gym.
Still, as my old boss used to say when he wanted me to go out and work in the rain "You'll be alright son,your skin is waterproof!"  So much so that rather than get my clothes wet when cutting the grass, i took them off and cut the grass in my undies!

I wish I hadn't read that!! Its put me off my dinner.

Lovely day today and very warm, it nearly hit 25C. That was until about 6pm when we had a thunder storm and about 1 inch of rain in half an hour! Gutters overflowing and rivers on the drive. Guess who I’d getting the ladder out tomorrow and clearing the gutters?
