Added 2 avocado stones to the box. There were 2 in there that had shooted but looked a bit dry, so I gave them all some wet paper towel to encourage them to do better.
Saved a pip from an orange. If blackbery seeds react the same as rasberry seeds they will need stratifying? I grew rasberry seeds in a ot and nowt came so I stuck them outside in winter. I was surrpised to see them germinate in the Spring!
I have a three year old avocado 'Palm tree' grown from an avocado stone. It resembles a palm tree a all the bottom leaves have fallen off it!
The rescued 20p banana plant from Morries a couple of years ago has 'pups' around its base almaost as big as the original!
I once grew a passion fruit pip outdoors and it grew to over 8 foot high with lovely foliage ,only to be killed off by the first frost!
