2024 - What I sowed today

Sowed various quick cropping seeds in my latest "raised bed" (4 supermarket mushroom trays).
Mixed salad leaves
Mibuna
Texel greens
Quick heading calabrese or broccoli (Real seeds).

Bulb Fennel, radishes and spring onions.

I resowed some pinks. I was very proud of the seedlings from the last sowing then they all got scorched in 30° heat. The pipings too have all shrivelled up. I'm not doing to well with pinks.

Carrots - Vita Longa in a supermarket crate and in a GH2 bed.
DFB - Venice in a supermarket crate and in modules in GH3.
Courgette - All Green Bush in modules in GH3.

UPDATE - the DFB and Courgettes in modules have all germinated.  Now to find somewhere to grow them over the next couple of months!

Its Roots & Shoots week so I've been sowing/throwing lots of radish & beetroot seeds around - in the pots of old compost in GH2 and in the old compost in open bottomed tubs on VegPlot5.
Mooli, Spanish Black and Zlata Yellow radish (different colours to make it easy to identify when/if they grow).
Boltardy beetroot.
I added some mixed lettuce and rocket leaves to the tubs as well.

I remember getting ribbed off 'Nick the Grief' on the dark side for being the only one to grow sweet peas to eght foot high with wondrful lush foliage, and not a flower in sight!  Never grown them since!
