Courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes. So far this year have harvested 2kg of toms, at same time last year had harvested 55kg - but no tomato leaf mould so not all bad. Mainly due to poor compost I think during first about 2 weeks. Lots of green tomatoes starting to ripen so hoping for a mild Autumn.
Pulled up my onions about a week ago as some were developing white rot. Biggest was over 1100g. with quite a few over 500. 2 main varieties sturon and bedfordshire champion, both good keepers. Grown from seeds sown boxing day. They were stunted due to the poor compost but recovered well after planting out. The forst variety I planted out, up-to-date were decimated by slugs.

My onions are tiddly compared to Mark's. I've yet to take them up even theyve all toppled, maybe tomorrow's job.
Harvested another 2 sweetcorn, masses of tomatoes, raspberries, a few bulbous cucumbers that went straight in the compost bin. What makes them bulbous, poor pollination? I have a feeling of deja vu, has this been discussed before?
