First day of laying the screed.   .

                     

   

We can all tell we’ve been working today! We think it’s going quite well so far. That might just been because we don’t know what we’re doing   

Impressive. As impressive as the aches and pains that will show up tomorrow or the next day.

I guess the water pressure was OK! Looks like you were lucky with the weather today too.

Water pressure was fine, very pleased with it. Weather stayed dry all day. Fairly cold though. If you stop for too long , you definitely felt it. A vicious rumour that it’s going to be ok all week. But I can hear the wind picking up out there now.

Another day of screeding. I did the actual laying of it today.

   

After this was taken we got a lesson from a professional. It changed how we did everything. He said what we’d already done was ok, but…………

 He brought us a proper float to use. Showed us how to use it and what finish we’re after. And completed changed how we were mixing. Probably going to add a little self levelling screed to the rooms we’ve already done. If not all of it. I really enjoyed laying the floor today especially after our lesson. Weather I’ll still be enjoying it by the end , is to be decided.
