We found these yesterday
None of these are very old. They range from 1920-1950.
Every house used to have a dumping area. A midden . We found the one at our temporary house last night. We never managed to find the one at Edith. We’ll probably have another few digs over the coming weeks. See what else we can find.
We also found an old hobnail boot, lots of horse shoes,
The bottle that is still quite dirty is an old Heinz

I used to do a bit of bottle digging and have a friend who is well into it. Some bottles, if you know what you are looking for are worth a fortune. He used to collect old gin 'Mallet's' I think they are called and pot lids.

Love old bottles. Found a lot in my house down west which helped to date the property. I left them for the new owners.

It's incredible what people used to bury. Next door found toilets, someone else found a fridge and a chap I gave tomato plants to this year found a piano.

Here’s today find.
Very happy with these.
Vinny see if you’re friend gets excited by this one. It got a metal screw lid. It’s full of a liquid. I’m guessing it’s the original stuff because it’s air tight. No air bubbles when submerged, when I cleaned it.
I can find very similar, but not exact match. And unsurprisingly none full of liquid.

The bath was full of empty wine bottles. Must have been some party!!

There seem to be 4 different types on that page but only photos of two.
