So are you the veg grower and the veg cook in your house?
If not, does the cook have to make do with whatever the grower produces or do they have a say over what is grown for the kitchen?

There's an intermediate stage too - Picker - the person who picks what is growing to use in the meal.
The Cook may have to design the meal around whatever the Picker harvests.
I'm all 3.
The Moneyless Chicken says:-
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

I’m grower & 1 of the cooks. Bob also does a lot of the cooking. He doesn’t get a say in what’s grown.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

I grow and pick, we share cooking duties. Neither of us are fussy eaters so most things can be prepared and eaten without problem. Jen was a little surprised when I turned in from gardening with a globe artichoke grown from the garden. I was instructed to cook that, but she happily helped eat it.

I am grower, picker and cook (once a pro many moons ago).
MrPP is the pasta machine operator and the tortilla roller and makes better crêpes than me. He gets a say in what we eat, but usually along the lines of do you want this or that.
He gets a hard stare come August when he asks what courgette are we having for dinner tonight ...

I am the grower/picker and cook. My husband generally eats whatever is put in front of him although he does sometimes get a choice of 2 or 3 dishes. There is always something I have grown on the plate (fresh or from the freezer). I write the shopping lists but if my husband shops with me lots of extras go in the trolley. On occasion I look at my trolley and think it looks so unhealthy.....very little fruit and veg in there.
