Two pots of carrots and two manky peppers with fruit which I am trying to save seed from.

You both but me to shame. My gh only has old tomatoes in the hope they will ripen, a few trays of antirrhinum seedlings, some pots of young penstemons and not a lot else. Sad

I find tomatoes start losing their taste in October, especially if the weather is as rubbish as it has been, and I'm a bit sick of eating them by now anyway so I'm never too sad to rip them out. They always succumb to botrytis at this time of year too so there's no point keeping them alive.

GH1. No lettuce shortage here - the second photo is a mass of self seeded lettuce seedlings. They're even growing on the breeze blocks that the GH rests on.

GH2. More self seeded leaves - some sort of Oriental veg and a Bijou mangetout flower, just for JJB. Big Grin

The other GHs are not very inspiring at the moment so I ignored them.

You really know how to upset me, don't you. My Bijou are still in their mfb shivvering in the cold and struggling to emerge. There was no point in sowing earlier to overwinter, the week of around -7 and yesterday's -5 would have done for them.
