Malvacae Family

Am I the only one who gets confused about all the different names for plants of the Malvacae Family?
There's Malva, Mallow, Althea, Alcea, Lavatera, Hollyhock, Malope.
In my very limited experience of growing these, they all end up looking the same - same shape flowers and velvety leaves.
I'm trying to put my seeds into some sort of order and this lot are really bugging me. I'm going to call them all Mallows because they're squishy and its easy to say.

What thinkest thou?

I had no idea they were all related   . I’ve only grown mallow & hollyhock . After googling everything else on your list. I can see the family resemblance. I’d go with your plan of Naming the box mallow. But I’d have to categorise them individually in the box.

I have the semi hardy bush mallow (Lavetera) I often also grow the annual lavatera and have grown the herb marsh mallow. I think it's the roots of this that made the original (marshmallows)?
I would never get rid of the bush lavatera as I have pictures of my wife and a dog I used to have sitting under it so it has sentimental value. I hought I had lost it last winter but it came back with a vengeance in the Summer 

I have several bush mallows here, and maybe too many actually. Some blue, some pink. My app thinks they're hibiscus though - are they all that similar, or is my app just wrong?

You obviously have too much time on your hands - sow them and Chuck the empty packs

The leaves look very strokeable and its edible.
There's info about the Common Mallow at https://www.eatweeds.co.uk/mallow-malva-sylvestris and many of the mallow family seem to be edible. May grow a few of them next year to do some taste testing.
