I’ll try some as well. I really don’t mind what kind.
I’m surprised you’ve only got 123 varieties

This is the perfect No 8 for me. Gives the seeds a chance and I don't have to feel guilty about not trying to grow them. I'll add some to your seed swap envelopes.
Still room for more volunteers.

No idea if you have those, but just giving that kind of bean as an example. Any that have distinctive markings. How about Nun's Belly Button? Makes me laugh just writing it.

Yes please, Nun's Belly Button would be perfect. I'd been thinking about trying some Soldier beans so these would be great.

Just had to google them. Cool looking bean. It’s a random name! Not sure I want to know how they got it .

Here I am again - dithering about which beans to start. I've pulled out countless random packets and changed my mind. Sometimes I wish I only had one packet (but which one would it be?).

What are your options this year? If you’re not saving seeds. I’d grow 2 each . Just because you can and you do have a random garden. So why not random beans .
Second thoughts. That could be tricky if you’re growing beans for pods & beans for shelling.
Maybe 2 random bean patches at either end of the garden .

Have you an idea where they're going? Tall or short. Or be like me sow a few of each one.
Here's a question for the team (not Veggie as I know she doesn't like frozen beans) which french beans freeze best? Sometimes my beans lose an outer layer of skin when they're frozen and get slithery or maybe they're overcooked

Maybe 2 random bean patches at either end of the garden . I've been thinking about having a separate bed for shelling beans (like Czar and Gigantes), another bed for beans I want to save and a really random bed of beans to eat.
The first two beds could be ignored until the end of season, only the eating beans would need regular visits.

That a great idea. I might have to steal that for future years.
My bean dilemma is do I or don’t I grow them ?
Yes because they produce a good crop with not a lot of effort or space.
No because they produce a lot. Don’t know how we’ll store them. Don’t know how much freezer space if any we’ll have. I could annoy the neighbours with bags of them every other day
