Watered the beans, pumpkins and tomatoes. Cut the tops off the vine tomatoes. I usually wait until the bank holiday but I was having a look and decided it would be a good time.

I've been out to water everything, because it's all dry even though I watered thoroughly yesterday. And then I strimmed some grass, because it's out of control in some areas of the garden lol

I live on a steep bank and ts always awkward placing the wheelie bin so it doesn't run away down the bank! Today I dug out an area at front and set in a couple of paving stones fairly level to accomodate wheelie bin on bin day!
It was so sunny after that I had finished, so I dragged the sunbed out doors and had an hours sunbathing to repay myself for a job well done!
Kato to walk again when it gets cooler then an abs session, in this heat, just what I need! After that its 'yellow sticker time' at Morries.

Saved seeds, took photos, started moving my heap of well rotted manure into dalek composters. Filled one. Before starting on the other one I swapped it with a dalek that was gifted to me. What they didn’t tell me was that someone had had a bonfire to close to it and melted it so the lid & door ( if it had one ) at the bottom no longer fit.

Yesterday pricked out basil, red cabbage & lettuce. Watered.
Today sowed lettuce, spring cabbage and lots of beetroot. Cleared some brambles at the top. Watered. Trying to décide what to sacrifice as I cannot water everything.

Started preparations for the Great Veg Patch move (brace yourselves ). Cut down brambles, stripped an old tree stump of ivy - hoping it can be cut down sometime. Set out the Big Bin Rings that I'm going to grow the beans in. All the usual GH watering and tying in.
Very hot - too hot to work in the sun.

Took nextdoor to his oncology meeting. They took one look at how frail he was and persuaded him to stay in to be built up for an oesophageal stent on Monday. He is pinning all his hopes on this stent to make things normal, but I fear he'll not see his home again. they're both in hospital now and everyone is hoping, if bed availability permits, they can both be on the same ward. I'm told he had the last bed in the hospital because he was an urgent case. Things must be dire, don't get poorly folks. Upside from my point of view is I don't need to worry about either of them now.

Collected seeds, half filled the second dalek with manure. After harvesting spuds, I made a potato feed out of the plants & any tiny or half eaten spuds. Emptied the compost from the spuds onto the beds.
