Outdoor strawberry. I hadn't noticed that the strawbs were reddening and had to frantically fashion some netting.
Also a couple of Hurst Green Shaft pea pods, one for me one for P. He didn't get the strawberry

Golden Sweet mangetout. Don't know why I grow them really (apart from being pretty) because they're not a patch on Bijou.

I picked some pink elderflowers in the garden last week and the cordial is ever such a pretty pink colour, but yhe flavour isn't very strong at all.
Tonight I went out with Jay in tow and picked a packed large shopping bag of normal elderflower from along the village road. I've set the cordial to steep, and it smells amazing |

I agree Veggie, I found they got stringy very quickly. Not  growing them this year. I've got Oregon Sugar Pod (who hasn't) which I'm picking  and I even have flowers on my outside Bijou, they're so pretty,  won't be long before the first Bijou MT. I've even remembered to put both Bijou and OSP seeds in for successional sowing, hopefully they'll be OK when the old ones are tired and given up.
