2022 - What I did today

Loads done at the allotment and loads left to do. Planted out several kinds of peas and beans, climbing and bush. Didn't clear the area for the pumpkins and squash so unfortunately didn't get my shelling beans cleverly planted where they're less accessible by design. Hoed and weeded some. Planted out some spinach that my husband didn't notice and promptly dug over the next day for beans to go in their place. Toted some more seedlings down to the plot to be planted out at the end of this short week. Spotted fruit on my four remaining bargain fruit trees purchased a few years ago - first year for pears. Husband did a bit of strimming, which is a huge morale boost despite the rampant weeds over the rest of the plot. Bought an orange rose and a beautiful warm yellow rose for the plot. Couldn't sleep trying to imagine where I'd put the rest of my million seedlings.

Setup an old blow-away greenhouse frame to use as a squash arch.

Got the sweetcorn bed prepped.

Canes are now in place for planting out the runners.

Mrs went to see another rescue dog today, I think she's in love, I will join her for a visit Thursday!

Planted some more CFBs and the last 13 Courgettes!
Cleared most of a small enclosure ready for some who-know-what. Squashes probably.
Checked on the tadpoles and spotted legs on a lot of them. Big Grin Have to make some signs pointing the froglets towards the vegetable patch.

I've taken cuttings of some nice plants here at Corfu, and when I googled one of them, I learnt it's a caper! Have any of you had one of them?

For the tadpole sign, they're Welsh froglets, they won't understand English.

Planted out some peppers.
Supervised MrPP with the pruner-on-a-pole cutting back the wisteria.
Cleared the weeds and compacted gravel from in front of the machine shed, laid weed matting and barrowed a load of gravel. Another step towards making the front of the house look presentable. Still got the remains of the old rotting shed floor leaning up next to the front door ...
