Potted on tomatoes, about 99 times smaller than JJB'sSmile, sweet peppers, and I think some tree spinach!

Put a new netting on one of the plot frames, turned out a lot more difficult than it should have been!

More leaves in one of the dedicated daleks.

Repaired a 2mx2m trellis panel. Some of the slats had become unattached over the years and were wonky so had to go in and put it all back together. The passion flower vine got a good chop back while I was at it so I could access the wooden slats. Very pleased with the result!

Deadheaded the wallflowers. They've been in flower throughout this mild winter and have already started producing seed heads.

Pulled up all the "some sort of oriental veg" that were flowering in the GH and heeled them in the corner where old plants go to die. Awwww. Its always a thrill to find that some have self seeded - like wallflowers & chard. Its also home to surplus elephant garlic and fruit bush cuttings. You probably think that my garden is made up of corners like this. Wink
Then I moved onto to brambles and periwinkle extermination and spotted an unexpected item growing there. It had a leaf similar to a periwinkle but was furry and I'd forgotten I'd planted it several years ago. I'll leave it there for you to guess.Big Grin

As well as my exploits at the allotment I went to B&Q to get a new cooker switch as mine had stopped working and wouldn't switch off. I had to keep knocking the cooker off by flicking the off switch on the fuse box. Sick

Bought a new cooker switch then had a look around the gardening part. The seed potatoes are all half price at £2.00 a bag! Cool I wondered whether they had been frosted as they are left out in the open? I don't think they were though so bought a bag of Desiree from the middle of the pile where frost wouldn't have got to. I really wanted Pink Fir Apple spuds this year but they had none and the postage is prohibitive to buy online! Rolleyes

New cooker switch now fitted so I don't have to keep running to the fuse box! Big Grin

Trip to the plot earlier.....

Finished topping up upsidedown planter 3, topped with cardboard and punched holes ready for sowing Salsify & Scorzonera.

Moved the plastic greenhouse frame to a new area, going to attempt to use it as a squash arch/support this year.

Seed sowing, pricking out seedlings, potted on some more plants for the new garden, got carrot & DFB beds ready in the little tunnel. Planted my spuds.

Yesterday and today, weeded bed 7 (parsnips over winter) topped with compost, emptying the ready-to-use dalek, and then grass clippings. Weeded the tunnel bed, topped with clippings.  Cleared bolting brassicas & topped with clippings. Turned three compost heaps, refilling the dalek.
Mulched trees with clippings.
Weeded row of maples.

Chopped back a lot of chard and spinach beet in GH No 1. I'll be digging them out soon to replant in the random area where they can seed and multiply to their heart's content. They need to come out to make room for the tomatoes. Nearly time!
Gave the GH strawberries (last year's runners) a bit of TLC. Plenty of flowers and a tiny little green strawberry.
Went for a wander with the rake, turning the weed heaps, dragging out some weeds, looking for new blossom on the fruit trees. Noticed the Solomon's Seal shoots rising out of the ground like a snake, rearing up ready to strike.
Said Hello to the tadpoles - hundreds of them. Big Grin
Saw my first Orange tip butterfly of 2022.
