Does anybody still use polystyrene seed modules?
Bought some years ago( I think they were called Propapacks). Mine are finally becoming unusable and need replacing.
I really rate them for keeping seedlings happy and encouraging good root formation.
There must be a good reason why I never see them these days.

Are they the ones that came with a tray with "knobs" on that you could push the compost plugs out from underneath with?
If so, I still have some.

They’re no longer available probably because they’re polystyrene. Incredibly environmentally unfriendly.

I've had mine at least 20 years, probably more.
I agree that polystyrene is environmentally unfriendly yet its still used for packaging and cannot be reused.

So not that environmentally unfriendly when compared to single use plastic. I must’ve got through hundreds of flimsy single use plastic ones over the same period.
Our local council accepts polystyrene in general household rubbish that goes to the incinerator, so although not ideal, it‘s not going to landfill.
