We've got the genny ready and lamps in case of pwr cut later on and I've figured out a stove top meal just in case. Fingers crossed that next door's tree will blow down letting some extra light into my gh's. I suppose that might be a bit selfish though. If we do have a power outage I will be well miffed without Internet

Apart from Wales, Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, I the rest of us have a yellow warning, same as last night. Hopefully the worst will blow out before landfall.
Popped over the plots to secure things, just in case

Woke up to snow. Not a lot but it’s still falling. The winds calmed over night. I expect them to pick up again later.
Makes a change from very heavy rain and hail.

It's a bit windy here ATM but nothing exceptional, squally showers but blue sky inbetween. They're saying gusts of 63mph at around midday. All public services still OK.

Three inch covering of snow here. Not looking forward to my dog walk although Kato my Siberian Husky will be in his element!

Its windy here but we still have power! Trees are flapping, crows look as if they're enjoying the speed, whizzing over the garden.
My bedtime book at the moment is "The Breathtaker", about tornadoes in America, the stormchasers who follow the tornadoes and love the thrill of the wind and the murders that are being committed at the height of the storm!! Its fiction - don't worry. Reading this before I went to sleep last night made me think that Eunice was a gentle little pussycat compared to those tornadoes.
Stay safe everyone.

Our area is surrounded by power outages and we seem to be a little island. Fingers crossed for another 30 mins of power as I've got a cake in the oven, after that it can do its worst. It's a bit lively but no damage so far.
